Today you will fill out and do some research for your Egg Drop Project. Please read the first link and complete the second Google form. Once finished, draw and label your plan. You may do this on Google Drawings, or on a separate sheet of paper. Be thorough.
Today we will review in class and head to the media center to take the test.
Today we are making a "resource' sheet for our test tomorrow.
We are playing Grudgeball for candy! Today we are starting a geological time scale project. We will be starting with the math portion. We are going to scale the history of the earth onto a piece of receipt paper.
MS-ESS1-4: Construct a scientific explanation based on evidence from rock strata for how the geologic time scale is used to organize Earth’s geologic history. Monday and Tuesday we will be covering the slideshow above. It includes questions and videos to cover some basic concepts of fossils.
MS-LS4-1: Analyze and interpret data for patterns in the fossil record that document the existence, diversity, extinction, and change life forms throughout the history of life on earth under the assumption that natural laws operate today as in the past. MS-ESS1-4: Construct a scientific explanation based on evidence from rock strata for how the geologic time scale is used to organize Earth’s geologic history. The state scientists are next week, today we are covering some principals of force and motion in preparation.
MS-PS2-2: Plan an investigation to provide evidence that the change in an object’s motion depends on the sum of the forces on the object and the mass of the object. Testing has begun, we are reviewing for the test and making booklets about Newton's Law.
We are also watching a Disney Imagineers video about the forces experienced on amusement park rides. MS-PS2-2: Plan an investigation to provide evidence that the change in an object’s motion depends on the sum of the forces on the object and the mass of the object. Have you ever wondered how crude oil and natural gas form?
Today we are taking an adventure to recreate the past state of Oklahoma. Listening to a narrative, students will re-create three scenes in Oklahoma history. MS-ESS3-1: Construct a scientific explanation based on evidence for how uneven distributions of Earth’s mineral, energy, and groundwater resources are the result of past and geoscience processes. Today we are introducing physics in preparation of state testing that is approaching quickly.
MS-PS2-2: Plan an investigation to provide evidence that the change in an object’s motion depends on the sum of the forces on the object and the mass of the object. |
